Temporary Lane Closure on La Riviera Drive 
~April 14 to May 2, 2014~

 
Sacramento, CA, April 14, 2014 – The Sacramento County Department of Transportation (SACDOT) is alerting motorists that there will may be increased congestion for three weeks on La Riviera Drive between the northbound Watt Avenue off-ramp and southbound Watt Avenue on-ramp.  This work is part of the Watt Avenue @ US-50 Interchange Project.

Construction Update:  New Sidewalks on La Riviera Drive

The construction of new sidewalks and minor pavement reconstruction will require the closure of the # 2 lane on westbound La Riviera Drive for a three week period beginning April 14.  Motorists may experience an additional 5 to 10 minute delay through the construction area, and are advised to reduce speed and drive carefully through the work zone.  

Completed Project: 

The completed interchange project will provide: a reduction in overall delay through the interchange; much easier and safer access on and off the freeway for all motorists; dedicated transit facilities; and, improved access and safety for bicyclists and pedestrians. 

Anticipated Project Completion:

It is anticipated that the project will be completed by mid- summer, 2014.
